Bed head!

Okay, okay, I know it's been forever since I've blogged. I've been busy...but mostly just lazy, so anyway, I thought I'd start off the blogging again with something fun!

I don't know how I do it, but I get the craziest bed head hair you have ever seen. I love to document this hair with photos because most people don't get to see it before i get ready in the morning. Enjoy!!

And now for my new hair! I've NEVER been this dark before and I'm actually really loving it! It's lightened up a little from this picture but still basically the same! I think I'll keep it up for quit awhile.

New love!

Well I have a new love in my life. He's dark and handsome, has great musical abilities, and I got him for really cheap! Well I wish I was talking about a guy (except the cheap part :) ), I'm not. I'm hopelessly in love with my new guitar! I've kind of been playing the guitar for like 8 years, but I've never taken lessons and was kind of at a stand still. I hadn't been practicing much and was kind of bored with it until a friend of mine offered to give me lessons for free. I of course jumped on that and I've fallen in love with playing the guitar all over again. The only problem was the guitar I had was breaking and it was really hard to play. I started looking on craigslist for something new and came across a Fender acoustic/electric guitar for $100. Dang!! I could not pass that up. It's in perfect condition, sounds great and came with a bag, tuner, picks and books. I got the best deal ever (beat that Doug!!!)! When I'm at work I wish I was at home playing. I'm so excited to start getting better! Here are some pics...don't we make a cute couple?!

Documentaries

I love my job! I love the fact that while I'm working my bosses don't mind if I have a tv show or a movie going...as long as I get my work done, which I do. So recently I've been really into documentaries online. I love them! I love learning about new things and people and places. I love having my thinking challenged everyday. Sometimes I think I know exactly how I feel about something, but then I watch a documentary on it and it causes me to rethink things. Everything from factory workers in China to the state of the health care in this country to diets to Hiroshima, I watch them all. One of my favorite sites is PBS frontline. They've got some great stuff on there! The website is http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/view/. I don't really expect you to sit down and watch all of these, most people don't have the time. But I love that I have 8 hours a day to just sit and learn while I'm working. Another good site is http://freedocumentaries.net/. Try just turning them on in the back ground while you're cooking or cleaning or something. You won't be disappointed!!
